Lin Hsinju Praise Stanley Tong is a Gentleman [ refined or civilized person]
Since the broadcast of Lin Hsinju and Lu Yi's "Boy & Girl" both have yet to arrive in Hong Kong to promote it. Yesterday ATV arranged for special telephone interviews w/ both of them. Currrently in Taiwan, Ruby expressed b/c that people have to be quarantined for 10 days if returning from Hong Kong, in order to prevent any effects on her other work, so does not dare to go to Hong Kong. Lu Yi is currently in Beijing. He disclosed he will be in Hong Kong in August to promote his first CD.
Lu Yi's first CD release was originally set in April but delayed until June due to outbreak of SARS, therefore he will be in Hong Kong personally to promote it in August. In discussing his cooperation w/ Hsinju in "Boy", he said although Hsinju used to play in crying roles, but actually she is a happy & a lively [or energetic] girl. As to himself, even though he's the male lead, he felt as though his role was only a supporting character, b/c this series mainly is about several urban girls' experiences. Speaking of Hsinju & Stanley Tong's rumors, asked him whether Stanley Tong visited Hsinju on the set, he expressed he didn't see much of Stanley Tong b/c he was not the director.

Regarding Lu Yi's own words that he was just a supporting cast, Hsinju acknowledged that the screenwriter gave the female role lots of room to develop, but also have to have "the talented male" to accomplish it. Asked whether her rumored boyfriend Stanley Tong especially looked after her this time, she said, "he was rarely on the set." (Did you guys went out or eat alone together) "No. I didn't have time to go out." Regarding whether she will cooperate w/ Stanley Tong again, she said there are no immediate plans to do so at the moment. Asked what sort of expression did Stanley Tong gave her, she said, "he is a gentleman, he treats people kindly, never heard him speak loudly. (Is this well received by females) I supposed it is.(Is it well received by you) oh, so weary [annoying], haven't seen all of you for such a long time, still this gossipy/nosey."
Again asking about Hsinju's current situation, she said because she was afraid of being quarantined when returning to Taiwan, therefore does not dare go overseas, just resting in Taiwan and doing advertisements. At the end of July she will cooperate w/ Ge Yu in a China film about a father/daughter relationship. As to the earthquake(s) in Taiwan, Hsinju expressed fortunately Taipei had small ones, did not have any effects, & the local SARS situation is gradually coming under control, the residents don't wear masks as much when they go out.
