A Cursory of "Ban Sheng Yuan" Manzheng vs. Lin Hsinju

Only saw the [the theme song] trailer, but already felt unbreathable. A little depressed, feel the urge to cry. Perhaps a disconsolated mood can affect what you see.
To see it rise, to see its banquets, to see it collapse. It seems like there are these few sayings, somehow can remember, that it's actually a sneer[or ridicule] from an indifferent observer. Thinking about it now aches the heart. Watching Manzheng's love-struck smile, full of sparkles, displaying love & affection w/ the person she loves. With a blink of an eye, the beauty has aged. Bridge broken, alone & confused. A kind of despair casting a shadow over one's heart, unable to struggle.
Like a flower & sweet memories, the years passed by quickly, much less in that turbulent, heartless time. The so-called innocence, the so-called beauty, the so-called affection[or love], all had been diluted & cast into the distance. Hsinju's performance of that young Manzheng, radiant, peacefully calm, apparently a bit more attractive than the book's version. Indeed, but still has Manzheng's innocence, her quiet & refined nature. But, I cannot forget, the Manzheng during that short time after experiencing a massive turn of events, the more restraint Manzheng who had experienced more than 10 years of adversities.
Although only saw the [the theme song] trailer, Hsinju's performance is definitely successful, don't know why they always like to put Manzheng & Ruping on the same page. Manzheng has the calmness of a commong girl, Ruping has the sheltered life of a rich girl, both w/ totally different personalities. Even if it was set in the same time, w/ similar costumes, in my opinion, these two roles, Hsinju's performances are completely different. Even if it's the Manzheng in her youth, obviously already has the maturity brought forth by the experiences of family hardships.
I really liked Manzheng's looks [meaning makeup+constumes] & personality in the latter part of the series. Some people said such appearance is not too attractive, I firmly oppose. The Manzheng w/ her hair combed in a bun & wearing plainly colored qi bao [Chinese dress], gives me an inexplanable feeling of beauty. That is of what a real woman is. Compared to the grace & beauty of her youth, this gives a more reminiscent feel to it.
To see her upright looking at Shihchun, w/ so much to say in her eyes, but her facial expression was tranquil like water, I was touched w/ no explanation, my intuition was led into the world of Manzheng, accompanying her through the difficulties, the disputes, & her independence garnered through the loss of prosperity.
Have been thinking, once I start to watch this serial, what sort of helplessness & desolation will I be led into. Zhang Ailing, she can write about life's most real emotions, most real rendings. Such beautiful scenes like those of oil paintings, w/ a torned & helpless destiny serve as contrast.
