Lin Hsinju: As an Assassin Brandishes a Sword on Idle Time Evades Gentleness Silence Non-talkative
Netandtv.com, 7/30/03
Lin Hsinju's "Flying Knife" is now already broadcasting, in this serial she plays a female assassin. Being this is the first time acting in a martial arts series, this could be considered as a kind of challenge for Lin Hsinju.
In "Flying Knife", Lin Hsinju not only acting in a martial arts series for the first time, but also greatly changes her choice of dramas, changing from a getle damsel to a cold assassin.
But, it's precisely b/c she had spent over 2 months filming a martial arts drama, Lin Hsinju has become interested in playing w/ swords/knifes/spears. Also b/c of having this one time experience, Lin Hsinju will naturally be more at ease in the future if playing in similar roles.
Few years ago, the two "HZGG" allowed Lin Hsinju to leave a deep impression on the audience w/ an image of a delicate woman. To Lin Hsinju, this time changing to a female assassin, whether the audience will accept this certainly is not an easy matter. Outer appearances can be assisted by a designer, but Lin Hsinju's soft, delicate voice is a little troublesome to concealed.
On that day, Lin Hsinju disclosed that her first martial arts drama "Flying Knife" VCD is already out, & TV stations will be broadcasting it at the end of this year. But, whether people will accept it, in her own heart still doesn't have confidence[or unfamiliar w/ something].

Some weren't include, so add a note:
Saw the netandtv segment, some people said how will Ruby change her soft, delicate voice, b/c Yueshen is not soft & delicate. Ruby laughed & said: Actually, I don't have a lot to say in the series, ha-ha. She said she used a rather low, deep, & neutral voice to say the lines. Ruby said she has a sword in her room, when she has time she would practice sword movements/techniques. Cheng Xiaodong [<--he's the martial arts coordinator] is famous for being strict, so when they first started filming Ruby was very nervous. The first scene shot, Ruby was hanged up about 3-4 stories high & then was dropped down, Ruby already was dizzy & shaking all over, then said anything wrong, nothing's wrong, OK, do it once again ^q^ ha-ha ~~
