Lin Hsinju Stepping Down to Second Lead Rumors Widespread on China's Internet Sites Will Reduced Price to Play Role of Chen Yuan Yuan RUBY Refutes Too Busy To Be an Ancient Person
Because of widespread rumors on China's internet sites, Lin Hsinju, in order to work w/ well-known actors Zhang Fengyi, Wang Gang, Jiang Wen, etc., in the TV series "Shui Zhu Chen Fu" was willing to reduce her price to play the part of Chen Yuan Yuan, and even voluntarily stepped down to be the second lead.
Usually one to not inquire about affairs, Ruby came out yesterday to clarify things: "Since I finish filming 'I Love Heaven on earth', I have read eight scripts altogether, but none containing a script about that serial, furthermore in July I will be cooperating w/Ge Yu in 'My Mute Father', where do I find the time to be an ancient person?" Because of China's news media continuously reporting that Lin Hsinju will act in "Shui Zhu Chen Fu",not only will reduce the price to perform, to step down to the second lead, moreover will not be the first leading lady, raising questions about her popularity decreasing.
Lin Hsinju w/ a bit of anger in her tone expressed, "there are many times in which actors reduce their fees in order to be in good series, or to make adjustments to the roles they play in, but I really have not been in contact with that production company, & to the company which released these information to please stop creating anymore of such news at will." Ruby indicated, although did not accept any serials during her return to Taiwan b/c of SARS, but her work has been nonstop, up 'till now has already accepted four advertisements, moreover also has read eight scripts, beside acting w/ Ge Yu in the mid-July Taiwan, HK, & China production of "My Mute Father", b/c when first read the original literary essay, was moved to tears by this story, after that at the end of August will accept a modern internationally produced TV series, estimate will finish by year's end, at the beginning next year will accept "Xiu Niang", the schedule has been set, where do I fin the time to play Chen Yuan Yuan? From the conversation, one can see that Lin Hsinju regards "My Mute Father" very seriously, b/c this play not only a cooperation b/w China, HK, & TW, also intends to contend for the Golden Horse Award, plus can cooperate w/ the great actor Ge Yu as father/daughter, Hsinju thinks that this work possibly, after last year's "BSY", "Flying Knife", be another one of her representative works, already is preparing for this new challenge.
Besides the scheduled work, b/c Eastern Televsion station (ETTV) will air "Boy & Girl" in beginning of July, Lin Hsinju will wait for Lu Yi to arrive in Taiwan, the meeting of two good friends, potentially can initiate another wave of topic.
