Jiu Zhou's "Flying Knife vs. Flying Knife" was based on Gulong's novel of the same name. It delineates the story of the heroic Li Xunhuan's grandson--Li Huai. Distinguishing itself w/ other martial arts serials which emphasizes on the principle of nationalism, Jiangwu's love & hate techniques, this "Flying Knife v. Flying Knife", adds a kind of mood, a drifter returning to his roots, the deep attachment of hope of going home. With less of blood & violence, more of love, it wears the name of "romantic martial arts love series/story" fittingly.
This serial's lead roles still uses Jiu Zhou's often-used actors. Playing Li Huai is Hong Kong star Zhang Zhilin. In the series, he displays Li Huai's attitude towards his life of living dangersouly/in defiance of convention, Li Huai's yearning for a loving family, & love. Playing Fang Keke is Dong Jie & playing Xue Caiyue's Lin Xinru will fight for the first time on screen. As to their performances, after watching this series, the audiences can make judgment.
