Another long vacation. Visiting friends, traveling are good choices during vacation. Off course, you can also just stay home & watch TV or go to a movie, because during this holiday, there will be many stars to accompany you.
Lin Xinru: "Manzhen" Success at Changing Image
Since playing that "plenty of innocence, but not enough of acting skills", all day long washing her face w/ tears, role of Ziwei, Lin Xinru's subsequent roles in "QSSYMM", "New Chu Liuxiang", "DOMD" could not escape from crying, w/ an exaggerated performance skills as a repertoire. However in this 35-episode TV series "BSY", the audience will see a brand-new Lin Xinru, she molded the image Gu Manzhen, who had experienced 14 years of great emotional changes in that course of time, w/ dignity[or dignified way] & depth.
Because movie version of "BSY" got people's notice first, therefore there was no doubt a lot of pressure in creating a TV version. Director Hu Xueyang had good perception, resisted opposition, boldly appointed in what appeared to him a pure & innocent, w/ great potential Lin Xinru to play the role of the heroine Gu Manzhen. Lin Xinru is sincerely convinced of Wu Qianlian's acting ability as Manzhen, but she is clear-headed: television dramas & movies each have different ways of performing, one cannot just simply imitate others. Having been been used to acting in the happy/tragic Qiong Yao series, this time in "BSY" Lin Xinru's way of performance is subtlety, each movement, each look[of the eyes], each faint smile, she paid attention in grasping the character's feeling of discretion, she constrained[or repressed the feelings of] the heroine of Zhang Ailing's novel, performed that psyologically-burdened feeling w/ meticulous care. One of the most important scenes of the series was Manzhen's sister, Manlu, collaborated w/ her husband Zhu Hongcai to set a trap, allowing the brother-in-law to rape Manzhen, got her pregnant & gave birth to a son:'(. During the time of shooting that hair-raising rape scene, Lin Xinru put her whole body and mind into it, crying & screaming to the point where her voice had become hoarse. When filming, crew members present were all surprised by Lin Xinru's forceful/explosive performance. After shooting this emotionally untrammeled scene, Lin Xinru felt that she has matured a lot. In the series, Lin Xinru sings the maine & ending songs.
